Who we are

Rebecca K. McClellan (Becky) believed that access to education had the power to change lives and impact the world. For 20 years, she was a beloved English teacher at Felicity-Franklin High School, where she supported her students both inside and outside the classroom. As yearbook advisor, class advisor, leader of the annual “Turkey Dinner,” event photographer, and more, Becky always went the extra mile to ensure her students succeeded.

Becky tragically passed away in February 2022. In her memory, her family established this scholarship fund to help her former students at FFHS pursue higher education. In 2023, the Becky Bunco Fundraiser raised $7,000, which was awarded to two deserving students to support their college expenses.

Your generous donation will help fund scholarships for a senior at FFHS and a senior at Milford High School—communities Becky loved and served. As part of the Milford community herself, Becky’s family is committed to supporting students from both schools who would have been positively impacted by Becky’s guidance and care. Felicity is a small, rural community with fewer resources than larger districts, and this scholarship aims to help bridge that gap.

Throughout her career, Becky demonstrated unwavering dedication to her students. She worked summer school to help students graduate, wrote college recommendation letters, bought Christmas gifts for students in need, provided assistance with food insecurity, and even hired recent graduates to help with her small landscaping business when they needed employment.

Although Becky can never be replaced, we can honor her legacy by helping relieve the financial burden of higher education for students in need. Thank you for your love and support in making this vision a reality.
